Note from the Publisher - November/December 2008

With the holiday season upon us, we bring you tidings of comfort and joy. In this holiday issue, we share ideas for having the most joyous holiday season ever, even in less prosperous times. This holiday season may be just the time to acquire a new appreciation of the meaning of joy. When sailing along through life, it's easy to be joyful, but it's easy to take it all for granted, too. There's no doubt that each of us has experienced a struggle in our lives that upon overcoming, have felt a new appreciation for what we have achieved. With whatever struggles your family may be facing, be sure to keep the faith, hold tight to one another, try to help those less fortunate (and there's always someone less fortunate), and look forward to the victory in the end and the life lessons your family will learn along the way. If none of that works for you, make a big batch of homemade Toll House chocolate chip cookies…maybe even double the recipe. Your family will instantly be closer, at least physically, due to fighting over the plate of heavenly cookies. Maybe even serve 'em up with fresh creamy, whole milk and a little holiday cheer for Mom and Dad.
