This month, We put the excitement back into your families’ meals. Leave the Hamburger Helper on the shelf and dare to journey on our 30 day Culinary Adventure. Even if you have to scale it back a bit due to your busy schedule, try to spice up a meal or two by getting the whole family involved in cooking a new cuisine. Planning the meal together and getting the kids involved in selecting and purchasing the groceries gives you a better chance of having them actually trying new foods. It’s amazing what vegetables and fruits kids will eat, if they get to pick them out, themselves. In addition, we give you some hints for getting more vegetables and healthy food into your child’s diet, even if they are picky eaters. If you’ve ever said to your child, “you’re going to turn into a chicken nugget”, this month’s issue is for you. With our four kids, we have tried many strategies for improving our kids’ diet. The old standby of Popeye’s spinach will make you strong was used along with our own creation…Power Ranger Rice. My oldest daughter was actually 14 years old before she realized Power Ranger Rice was actually, just fried rice. She ended up admitting she nearly ask if they had Power Ranger Rice at a local Chinese restaurant. Finally, check out Just 4 Moms to learn to be Irish for a day! Celebrate the food and tradition of the Irish with your family.

Again, thank you for continuing to pick up our publication each month, and remember to tell our advertisers you saw them in Just 4 Families Digest.
